Shipping information

Shipping Methods and Times:

At Bits of Lace, all orders that are placed Monday – Friday by 1:00pm Eastern Standard Time will generally ship within 24 hours of the time that your order was received, as long as all items are currently in stock. If your order was placed on a weekend or a Friday after noon, we will ship your order on the upcoming Monday. The customer email that is provided to us at the time the order is placed is entered into the shipping information so that a customer receives all tracking notifications. If an email is not received, please call 1-843-531-6625 or email support@bitsoflace.com.

Out of Stock Items

Out of stock items will ship 2-4 weeks from when the order is processed.  Manufacturers such as Prima Donna, Marie Jo, Simone Perele, and Anita take approximately 2 weeks to arrive at the store, whereupon the items are then shipped via USPS from the store.  Empreinte, Conturelle, Chantelle, and Natori take 3-4 weeks to arrive at the store. Customers will be notified when orders are backordered and an order will take longer than expected. Expedited shipping directly from manufacturers is not an option.

Bits of Lace ships orders via USPS. The courier is chosen at our discretion, unless an expedited shipping method is selected. We offer delivery service within the United States (including Alaska and Hawaii), US Territories, and Canada.  Canadian orders should expect to pay approximately $50 for shipping.

All packages shipped via USPS generally arrive within 3-5 business days. Please note that shipments to Alaska, Hawaii, US Territories and Canada take additional time. Duties on Orders Shipped Outside the United States

Bits of Lace is not responsible for any taxes, duties and/or other customs/importing fees that may be imposed by governments outside of South Carolina or the United States.  You are responsible to check your local laws as they relate to duties and importation of goods and are responsible for them.

Shipping Responsibility

Once the package leaves our building and is tracked and confirmed delivered to the shipping address requested, the customer assumes full responsibility for the package and it’s safety. If the package is lost in transit we will assist the customer to track and file a claim in the attempt to help recover the package, but do not guarantee the customer’s package once it has left our building.

Cancellation Policy

Please note that all special orders are non-returnable and cannot be cancelled after the order has been placed. In stock merchandise orders may be cancelled or modified prior to shipment; however, once an order is shipped, the terms fall under our exchange policy. Bits of Lace cannot be held responsible for inclement weather or delays in delivery, i.e. overnight shipping commitments due to snow storms, etc.

We gladly accept American Express, Visa, MasterCard and Discover.

Sales Taxes

Sales tax of 9% will be added to packages shipped to recipients within the state of South Carolina. If a customer is using PayPal, tax is automatically included in the total (9%).  If an out-of-state customer calls and pays over the phone, tax is exempt from the total.

SPECIAL ORDER

A Special Order is, any merchandise that is pre-ordered for a season and not yet available from the designer, or any seasonal merchandise not stocked in the store, but available for purchase from the designer. Stock availability is subject to change with the designer and Bits of Lace is routinely updating the sites seasonally offered merchandise. Once we receive your special order item, stock availability will be confirmed with the designer and your credit card will be charged for those items. At that time, you will receive an email confirmation of your special order items and their approximate ship date. Special Order items may take 2-6 weeks and are shipped by ground the moment the products are received from the manufacturer.

All Special Orders are Final Sale and Non-Refundable.
