We have been so fortunate to partner with the reigning Mrs. Charleston, Kristen Hopson. She recently joined us at our boutique for an event to raise awareness for Gynecologic Cancer Awareness Month and benefit the Foundation for Women’s Cancer. What a beautiful woman, inside and out!
Kristen was driven to compete for Mrs. Charleston because she wanted to leave behind something for her daughters (Hannah, 3 and Hope, 2) to be proud of and achieve a personal goal for herself. She is passionate about helping children in need and hopes to bring more awareness to these efforts. She volunteers for the Lowcountry Orphan Relief and Jenkins Home Orphanage and would like promote these organizations across our community. Kristen is honored and proud to represent a city where people are just as hospitable as the city itself. To prepare for the Mrs. South Carolina pageant she has been hitting the gym, practicing interview questions and selecting the perfect looks for evening gown, swimwear and the interview portions of the competition. To ensure that all of these fabulous looks will show flawlessly on stage and stay perfectly in place, Kristen will be using Hollywood Fashion Tape and Nipple Cover Ups available at our boutique and online store. Their products have been seen on the red carpet; endorsed by celebrities and magazines. All of the products are hypoallergenic, disposable, friendly on all fabrics and are made in the United States.

Kristen was born and raised in West Virginia and every year she and her family vacationed on the beaches of sunny South Carolina. She has resided in this charming town for 12 years and always knew it would become her home. Kristen works as an Assistant Manager for Bank of America and in her spare time enjoys spending quality time with her family, working out, baking and watching movies. She is most proud of being the wife to a man who is an award winning author, Justin Hopson. He wrote the book, “Breaking the Blue Wall”, one man’s war against police corruption and it was recently featured on ABC News and 20/20.
Kristen will be competing for the title of Mrs. South Carolina on November 9th in Lexington, SC. Best of luck from the Bits of Lace team!
