Bits of Lace Meets Liberty of London

A longtime favorite at Bits of Lace, Bedhead Pajamas’ new Fall 2011 collection has arrived and found a cozy spot in the boutique. The women of Charleston have a soft spot in their hearts for Bedhead’s splashy prints, fine cottons and luscious details.

This season, Bedhead teamed up with Liberty of London to create to-die-for pajama sets. The kind of pajamas tailor-made for chilly mornings on the porch or for enjoying a cup of tea with buttery sunlight streaming through the blinds. Pajamas you’d wear all day, not just for comfort, but for their dreamy designs.

Bedhead is pure pajama decadence, always playfully inspired. This season the Los Angeles based company looked across the pond for inspiration, creating pieces with Liberty of London fabric. Liberty’s fabric is made from Tana Lawn Cotton. The fabric is a British tradition, only designed and manufactured by the Liberty design house in London, England.

Little has changed since the fabric first hit the market over 200 years ago.  It is truly timeless: finely woven, lightweight, breathable and always in the most adorable, feminine designs. Most recognizable in subdued floral and pretty paisley, Tana Lawn Cotton is a popular choice for women’s clothing, little girls’ dresses and quilting. This season’s whimsical patterns are the perfect match for Bedhead pajama sets.

Bedhead’s Liberty of London Pajamas are styled with button front, long sleeve nightshirts and paired with full length bottoms. Each piece is accented with a bright ribbon trim, adding a perfect splash of color. A select few sets are at the boutique, waiting to go home, snuggle up and dream sweet dreams of a stylish European life.

My personal favorite.I love my bedhead PJ’s. The main reason is that the fabrics offered are diverse. I have the knits, flannel, and the cotton. This choice of fabric really fits my life style and mood. Bedhead does run fuller in the classic collection.Be aware if you put them in the dryer they will shrink about one inch. I machine wash and hang to dry. They come out beautiful.
