We’re making our way towards the end of summer and the new fall collections are making their debut. Here at Bits of Lace Fine Lingerie we have especially been looking forward to the arrival of new collections by Belgian company Prima Donna, owned by Van de Velde. They have been hand making luxury lingerie for women up to an I cup since 1865.
Each Prima Donna bra requires between 40 and 50 different stages of assembly. Individual elements of the bra, including the fabric, lace, shoulder straps, and under-wire that will be used, undergo meticulous testing before the bra is styled and manufactured. During the design process the bra is worn by a panel of Van de Velde employees representing women of all sizes. They critique each aspect of the bra and attend to every detail, down to covering the under-wire with rubber for added comfort. Each and every Prima Donna bra then undergoes a final hand inspection before leaving their factory to ensure that each piece is exactly as it should be… Beautiful, comfortable, and functional.
We’re excited to introduce the new “Symphony”, by Prima Donna this fall. The Symphony is utterly feminine and exudes seduction and romance. Its delicate gold embroidery on tulle fabric in Intrigue Purple, Ginger, or Fumy Gray, looks absolutely stunning on the body and is truly a testament to the luxury and quality that Prima Donna is known for. It is available in a full cup as well as a balconnet cup, which has light padding providing dramatic lift while concealing the nipple and shaping the breast. Matching panties include a bikini panty, full brief, thong, and luxury thong.
