The Demi Bra Guide: Which demi will work for you?

Marie Jo Demi Bra

Sometimes it is difficult to find the right bra style for our natural breast shape. There is such a variety out there: full, small, round, sagging, fuller on the top, fuller on the bottom, fuller on the sides, a few inches in between (you get the picture). One style I think just about anyone can need is a demi bra. Luckily, Marie Jo has 3 amazing demi styles, two of which are new to the line- and possibly two of my favorite bras because they are practical and pretty.

The Avero by Marie Jo demi bra is the perfect demi for those of us who are fuller on the bottom. The way the top of the cup curves up allows you to sit in the bra without spilling over. Wide wires sit just below the breast tissue to allow maximum support with equal comfort. The under wire is coated 4 times, so there won’t be any digging into your ribcage. This demi is also multi-positional, so you can create a halter in a snap. The daisy flowers are a really cute detail, and they can’t be seen under thin knit shirts.Marie_Jo_Jane_Sabbia_low_res

The Jane by Marie Jo contour demi is a great for those of us who are fuller all around. I think this bra can also give a little bit of lift, without any padding. It is the bra to wear with lower cut tops, like a v-neck or scoop neck. The thin double strap details are dainty, and easy to hide under tank strap tops. A few of my friends came into the store and this was a favorite style for all of them (and they all had different breasts shapes).

The Celia semi-padded (or half pad) is great for those of us who don’t want a lot of padding, but need nipple coverage. The lace is pretty, the bra is supportive, and you don’t have a thing to worry about with this on. I recommend trying this when you want to wear more than a t-smarie-jo-celia_0101705_whthirt bra, but don’t want to wear a full lace bra. I also think this style works well for those with sensitive skin, because it creates a barrier between your skin and the lace.

Sometimes people are scared by a demi because they think they will fall out, in reality a correct fitting bra will make you feel supported and comfortable. Head into 302 King Street for a bra fitting by one of our bra fit specialists today!
