How to shop for lingerie- Introduction

Are you feeling overwhelmed by the prospect of holiday shopping for that special someone? Would you like to feel confident in knowing that she will love that one extra-special gift? Does she want a beautiful robe, a sexy set for the bedroom, or a comfortable pajama set to lounge about the house in?

Never fear, warriors of the holiday shopping front. Were here to simplify your lingerie shopping even online!

First of all, arm yourself for battle. Find out her dress size, for starters. Hopefully, she will realize your intentions and not take offense. You may take the direct route and ask her what dress size she wears, Honey, what dress size do you wear? A size two? Keep in mind that if you are guessing a dress size, guess low. No woman wants their husband to clumsily ask, Youre a size forty, right? Another notable fact: if you happen to know her height and weight, that can help when youre asking a salesperson for guidance. Do not ask her what her weight is, unless you are prepared to get slapped. If you her know her height, that is still good and is one more piece of information you can present to the salesperson.

Some women fill out a wish list with her size and brand preferences, so their men can then pick out items that are more likely to fit. Well leave this one up to you. If shell write down her sizes for you, then youll also be set at birthday time/just-because-present time when you want to buy her some other clothing or lingerie.

If you would prefer to take the more covert route, discreetly (key word: discreetly) check out the tag of a dress or two. This innocent move has provided endless fodder for the sitcoms, so take your time and dont do anything stupid. If possible, wait until you are positive she wont be arounddo this when shes out for lunch with the girls or picking the kids up from school. (Wait a minute, why arent you picking up the kids from school? Oh, never mind)

Another good thing to keep in mind is sometimes regular wardrobe is an indicator of what she is comfortable in and prefers to wear. Does she love to get all dressed up in a beautiful, sexy dress, or would she prefer to wear a fitted tee and jeans? This sometimes provides insight into what lingerie she might like as well, although it is not a 100% guarantee, because (surprise!) women may like many different types of clothes and lingerie. But nevertheless, its something to consider.

Also, should you be thinking that you want to buy some intimate apparel a sexy bra and panty set, a short and sweet tap set, or a floaty little chemise you may need more information. A dress size may not necessarily suffice here, as ladies can be one size in blouses (or bras) and another size in pants (or panties). Obtain your information however you wish; be direct or indirect, just find out the sizes she wears. A good guideline is group like with like, that is to say, if youre buying a bra and panty set, find out what size bra and panty she wears; if she needs a nightgown, find out her nightgown size. If possible, also note the brand, as it will help you later.
